Estudio de pertinencia de la carrera de Comercio en la zona norte de la provincia de Los Ríos

Abstract

The primary purpose of the research is to diagnose the relevance of the Trade career in the northern area of Los Rios province, specifically sought to identify, analyse and establish, the occupational demand of social needs, academic offerings in the area and current local, provincial, regional, national trends that allow sustaining with relevance the training of professionals in commercial areas, business, due to this there is a great demand in recent years for technical graduates in obtaining a quota for entry into higher education in areas close to their geographical areas of residence.  The methodology used was quantitative, descriptive, in the field study was applied a structured survey to a sample of 132 entrepreneurs and managers, 50 professionals at the end of the career and, 344 students of technical baccalaureates, whose main results summarise the needs of SMEs to have professionals trained in trade with skills ranging from leadership, teamwork in flexible groups, professional ethics and domains of other languages. In conclusion, it demonstrates the viability of the career of Trade in the city of Quevedo and area of influence to be located in the agricultural, commercial province of Los Rios, in search of strengthening companies in strategic branches and boost the competitiveness of the domestic market in terms of economic sectors services, trade and production that generated in the area and other relevant enterprises to the size of the study.
