Abstract

The aesthetic variety constitutes an urgent need to address so that society and educational actors expand their vision on this topic that is being inserted today. In accordance with what was stated, the main objective of this study was to analyze the perception of university students of the Basic Education career of the Faculty of Educational, Social, Philosophical and Humanistic Sciences of the State University of Bolívar regarding aesthetic diversity. expressed through changes in appearance and bodily transformations. In this sense, methodologically,  a quantitative  research  approach  was  applied,  whose data  collection technique was the survey directed at 169 students from the fifth and eighth cycles of the academic period May 2023 – September 2023. The results significantly revealed that these changes were made by own expression in 45.6%, and in relation to the discussion it is contrasted and confirmed that they are current practices, presenting themselves as a social and cultural phenomenon in education, especially at the high school level and that extends to higher education and as a conclusion There is an aesthetic diversity in educational contexts, which allows identity to be strengthened in relation to individual freedom and the right to free development of the personality of university students.
