REENGINEERING AS A TEACHING METHODOLOGY FOR THE TRAINING OF MECHANICAL ENGINEER SKILL

RESUMEN

El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar los beneficios de incluir la reingeniería como metodología de enseñanza en la formación de habilidades en los futuros ingenieros mecánicos desde la disciplina dibujo mecánico que se imparte en 2do año de la carrera Ingeniería Mecánica. Realizar propuesta de actividades donde pueda vincularse de forma sencilla la relación (dibujo mecánico vs reingeniería) y con un ejemplo mostrar cómo se podría implementar ésta en el currículo de algunos programas de ingeniería. Esta técnica puede ser aplicada a estudiantes de los primeros semestres, tal como se presenta, o a estudiantes de semestres superiores en los cuales el enfoque será diferente en razón del mayor conocimiento técnico que van alcanzando. Estas habilidades son fundamentales en los futuros profesionales, para el desarrollo eficaz en las empresas. En este trabajo se expone la reingeniería como una estrategia para la formación de habilidades en el aprendizaje para estudiantes de ingeniería.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this work is to show the benefits of including reengineering as teaching methodology in the training of skills in future mechanical engineers from the mechanical drawing discipline that is taught in the 2nd year of the Mechanical Engineering career. Make a proposal of activities where the relationship can be easily linked (mechanical drawing vs reengineering) and with an example show how it could be implemented in the curriculum of some engineering programs. This technique can be applied to first semester students, as presented, or to upper semester students in whom the approach will be different because of the greater technical knowledge they are reaching. These skills are fundamental in future professionals, for effective development in companies. In this paper, reengineering is presented as a strategy for the formation of learning abilities for engineering students.
