ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO DE ACCESIBILIDAD WEB EN PORTALES DE LAS UNIVERSIDADES PÚBLICAS DE LA ZONA 5

Abstract

The study presents a diagnosis of web accessibility made in October 2019 on the main pages of public universities in zone 5. The evaluation verifies compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in its version 2.0 , based on the recommendations contained in the World Wide Web Consortium (W3c). The results obtained show that the accessibility barriers are mostly serious. In addition, the most frequent are those related to syntax. The application of the norms in the portals of the universities has been partial, that is to say, there is still a need for programmers and higher education institutions to implement the regulations to ensure effective access to web portals for people with disabilities.
