Abstract

The objective of the research is to know the characteristics and behavior of millennial tourists and their habits when doing internal tourism in Ecuador. Through an online survey of young people from 23 to 38 years of age, it was identified that, they prefer to travel in March, for vacation, recreation or leisure, and plan their trips with a month or less in advance, they refrain from Hiring tour packages and their main mean of information to plan the trip is the website or social network of the tourist service they hire.  It is concluded that because technology has reinvented the way of tourism, this age group has been directly involved in the process, due to the change in consumption habits, and the process of buying a trip in relation to previous generations
