Abstract

The vertiginous advances in technology have drastically changed the journalistic context of the traditional press, turning this to digital media, the 21st century has allowed citizens to take an active role in social communication, generating new ways of informing, where not only the communication professional is the one who at this moment can issue a journalistic note governed by the ethical principles that it entails and the subsequent responsibility of it, currently the use of mobile devices has become a tool not only for journalists, but for citizens who have emerged in journalism, which is considered by various theorists as citizen journalism. This article is a bibliographic analysis of the theories that contribute to the concept of citizen journalism.
