Abstract

The objective of this article was to analyze the contribution of innovative didactic strategies in the teaching-learning process of students of the Tourism career of the Technical University of Babahoyo. For this purpose, active methodologies such as inverted learning and gamification were applied in order to enhance motivation, active participation and understanding of the contents. The research adopted a descriptive and non-experimental quantitative approach. A structured survey applied to a representative sample of 166 students was used as an instrument. The results revealed that most students recognized significant benefits in their academic performance, level of participation and motivation, although challenges such as unequal access to technological resources were also evident. It was concluded that these methodologies contributed positively to meaningful learning, fostering key competencies such as autonomy, collaboration and critical thinking.
