Abstract

This study provides an in-depth examination of the challenges and opportunities arising from the implementation of in-person and virtual Learning modalities within the context of contemporary education. Using a cualitativo aproche, based on surveys conducted with secondary and university-level teachers and students, five key categories were identified that help to understand current transformations in educational processes. These categories include: a preference for the hybrid model, challenges related to Access and use of technology, the transformation of the teacher-student relationship, the strengthening of learner autonomy and self-management, and the need to foster pedagogical innovation. The findings reveal a growing tendency toward hybrid models that combine the most valuable aspects of both in-person and virtual education, thus allowing for greater flexibility and adaptability. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of continuous teacher training to address new educational challenges, along with the implementation of strategies to reduce the digital divide.
