Abstract

This paper addresses the impact of the migration of Ecuadorian journalists to the United States on the international journalism landscape. These professionals face the challenge of adapting to a competitive media environment while balancing their cultural identity and the expectations of a multicultural audience. The research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative approaches, which involved a combination of in-depth interviews and structured surveys. The in-depth interviews allowed for a detailed exploration of the context, perceptions, and personal experiences of Ecuadorian journalists working in media outlets in the United States, generating valuable and nuanced information about their professional trajectories, challenges, and strategies for achieving success.
