FAMILY PARTICIPATION IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF INITIAL EDUCATION CHILDREN

Abstract
This article addresses the importance of active family participation in the learning process of children in early education, highlighting its influence on cognitive, social and emotional development. An exploratory study was carried out in which 100 families and teachers from early education centers in this city participated, using surveys and semi-structured interviews. The results obtained reveal that collaboration between family and school significantly improves the academic performance and emotional and social well-being of children. Furthermore, research highlights that when parents and caregivers are involved in school activities, such as workshops, meetings and training, children show greater motivation and better developed social skills (Epstein, 2011). However, challenges are identified, such as lack of parental time and lack of effective communication between educational institutions and families. In conclusion, family participation is a key factor for educational success in early childhood, and it is recommended to promote collaborative strategies that include parents and caregivers in educational decisions and school activities (Garreta, 2008).
