Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way students solve high school math problems. Tools such as ChatGPT and Photomath help students find quick and detailed solutions, making it easier to learn complicated concepts. In a study conducted at Unidad Educativa 17 de septiembre, many students said that these tools are very useful, but some also mentioned that they can become dependent on them. Although AI can improve academic performance by providing immediate answers, there are concerns about whether this affects their ability to develop critical skills, such as logical thinking. The research suggests that it is important to use AI in a balanced way: to take advantage of its benefits without becoming completely dependent on it. The key is to encourage intelligent and responsible use of these tools to enhance learning without detracting from essential problem-solving skills.
