Abstract

Research on smart device dependency in young people reveals that those with high dependency have more fragmented attention, which hinders their ability to maintain concentration for long periods. This phenomenon negatively affects your cognitive performance, especially in critical areas such as memory and logical reasoning. The data obtained indicate negative correlations between device dependency and cognitive performance, highlighting the need to address the adverse effects of technology on young people's mental health.

Heavy use of smart devices has become a norm among young people, raising concerns about its impact on emotional and cognitive well-being. These findings suggest that it is essential to develop strategies that encourage balanced use of technology. It is recommended to implement practices that improve concentration and memory, such as setting limits on screen time and promoting activities that stimulate face-to-face interactions.

Additionally, it is crucial that educators and parents collaborate to create an environment that supports the healthy development of young people. By taking a proactive approach to the use of smart devices, you can mitigate their negative impact on cognitive functions and contribute to overall well-being. In an increasingly digitalized world, it is essential to prioritize mental health and cognitive abilities to ensure comprehensive development in new generations.
