USO DE LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL, HERRAMIENTA PARA POTENCIAR LA FORMACIÓN INTEGRAL DE LOS ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS: OPORTUNIDADES Y DESAFÍOS

Abstract

The objective of this article is to determine the use of artificial intelligence as a tool to enhance learning processes in university students.  In particular, the opportunities that this technology offers for the development of transversal, cognitive and socio-emotional skills are explored, as well as the challenges posed by its integration into higher education. The methodology used in this research is based on a qualitative approach, using a documentary review of various bibliographic sources: Articles related to the topic of study in Scopus, WoS, Scielo and Latindex. The qualitative analysis identified the main opportunities offered by AI, such as the personalization of learning, access to advanced educational resources and the improvement of critical analysis capabilities. The results were obtained with the contributions of other research to enhance the comprehensive training of students; This shows that, although there is great potential to transform educational processes, the implementation of AI faces barriers such as the lack of adequate infrastructure, resistance to change and the need for continuous training. However, those who have already adopted these technologies have reported significant improvements in academic performance and the development of critical skills. The results were obtained with the contributions of other research on the use of (AI) to enhance comprehensive training. In conclusion, AI is emerging as a key tool for comprehensive training, as long as appropriate strategies are implemented to overcome the challenges and maximize its benefits
