INCIDENCIA DE LAS TICs EN EL RENDIMIENTO ACADÉMICO DE ESTUDIANTES DE BÁSICA MEDIA DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA “ENRIQUE PONCE”

Abstract

In the globalized world in which we live, society is permeated by the influence of information and communication technologies, in this sense education could not be left out of this influence, since in all educational establishments technological resources are being implemented that facilitate the teaching-learning process. This research seeks to examine the impact of ICTs on the academic performance of students in secondary basic education, considering that these technological tools are available to everyone in this globalized world, and that they allow us to easily access information.This research paper aims to analyze the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the academic performance of students in the basic secondary sublevel at the "Enrique Ponce" Educational Unit, located in the province of Los Ríos. The methodology used was the quantitative approach, the type of research is non-experimental.To collect the information, a questionnaire with multiple choice questions was developed and administered in person. The results obtained indicate that the use of ICTs improved the academic performance of students. Finally, this research, in addition to improving academic performance, promoted autonomous learning and improved interaction between students.
