LA COMPLEJIDAD DE SABERES EN LA EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR: DESAFÍOS EN LA FORMACIÓN INTEGRAL DE LOS ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS

Abstract

The complexity of knowledge represents one of the greatest challenges for the comprehensive training of university students. In a globalized and dynamic context, education cannot be limited to the transmission of fragmented knowledge, but must integrate various fields of knowledge, promoting critical thinking and interdisciplinarity. This approach recognizes the importance of preparing students not only in academic skills, but also in social, emotional and ethical skills, which allow them to successfully face the challenges of the 21st century. One of the main challenges lies in the resistance of traditional educational models, which tend to segment disciplines and prioritize technical knowledge over humanistic knowledge, which does not allow adaptation to changing contexts to solve complex problems. As an objective, to prepare the student for their comprehensive training and face the challenges of the current context, the methodology is framed in a non-experimental design with an analytical approach, which includes students and teachers of the basic education career, from this population. A survey was applied through Google Forms, which consisted of 15 items. The results showed unanimity about the relevance of the complexity of knowledge; Furthermore, they highlight the importance of comprehensive training to innovate and improve the educational process. In conclusion, higher education faces the challenge of building a system that forms critical, creative citizens capable of integrating multiple knowledge, facing current challenges with a broad and ethical vision of the world.
