Diseño de una mesa técnica de seguridad turística en la ciudad de Guaranda con un enfoque de coordinación interinstitucional de actores

Abstract

The study focused on the creation of a technical table for tourist security in Guaranda, highlighting the importance of coordination between various entities to ensure the safety of visitors and residents. The growing insecurity in Ecuador affects tourism, so it is essential to implement coordinated measures. The objectives are to understand the processes that foster cooperation between tourism security actors and to design a technical table that fosters a safe environment. Using a qualitative methodology, primary and secondary data were integrated through bibliographic, field and descriptive research, complemented by interviews with key actors and documentary analysis. The results showed the need to improve communication and coordination between institutions, identifying facilitators such as the willingness to collaborate and obstacles such as lack of resources and delimitation of competencies. The importance of coordination tools and the benefits of effective collaboration, such as rapid response to emergencies and resource optimization, were highlighted. The interviews highlighted the importance of trust and cooperation between key actors, as well as the need to implement continuous evaluation mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness of security strategies. In conclusion, the creation of a technical table for tourist security in Guaranda is essential to promote a safe and reliable environment for both tourists and residents.
