Estrategia Didáctica para la Enseñanza de Funciones Lineales en Décimo Año: Integración de GeoGebra

Abstract

This article presents an innovative teaching strategy aimed at improving the teaching-learning process of linear functions in tenth-grade students of basic general education, using the GeoGebra tool. The research adopted a quantitative approach, collecting data through surveys to evaluate the impact of this methodology on academic performance and understanding of mathematical concepts. The results obtained indicate that the implementation of GeoGebra not only facilitates the visualization of linear functions but also promotes more dynamic and meaningful learning. In particular, at the Monte Tabor Nazaret Educational Unit, a notable increase in students' academic performance was observed after the implementation of this strategy. The feedback collected through surveys and observations underscores the importance of integrating technological tools into mathematics teaching. Students expressed that GeoGebra allowed them to visualize abstract concepts more effectively, which in turn improved their mathematical understanding and skills. This finding highlights the need to adapt teaching methodologies to available technological tools, creating a more interactive and participatory learning environment. In addition, a practical guide for using GeoGebra was developed, which acts as a key resource for students, offering clear guidelines on how to integrate this tool into their educational practices. The implementation of GeoGebra has proven to be an effective strategy for teaching linear functions, with significant improvements in student performance and understanding.
