Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has proven to be fundamental to improve the quality of learning and teaching, but its growth also poses significant challenges in the detection of plagiarism. The purpose of this article is to evidence the use of artificial intelligence for a normal development of university students' activities and how it affects the perception of learning and originality of documents. A systematic study was carried out, in which 8510 documents were analyzed, choosing 37 relevant ones after searching in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and SpringerLink, based on specific questions, using inclusion criteria and PRISMA coding. The results evidenced that education is in a new technological environment, where AI helps university students to understand issues such as preserving ethics and originality, which raises various AI tools in the detection and prevention of plagiarism, as well as in the promotion of creativity and critical thinking. Chatbots are an important tool to implement an ethics committee, their application is decisive for future development and strengthens learning with academic integrity in the university environment.
