ENTORNO Y FACTORES SOCIALES DE UN PROGRAMA DE INGENIERIA AMBIENTAL

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the social environment and characterize the social factors of the environmental engineering program at the University of La Guajira. It was a descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and field investigation; An information collection instrument was applied, consisting of a Likert attitude scale questionnaire, applied to the population of all the municipalities of the department of La Guajira; Additionally, an interview was applied to directors of the environmental engineering program of the University of La Guajira. The result was that in terms of the social environment and in the aspects specifically analyzed, interpersonal relationships, social spaces, economic level, social participation, are applied moderately in the department of La Guajira. On the other hand, in terms of social factors, in terms of academic strengthening, condition of social areas, approaches to academic programs and strategies for conflict management, it is characterized by applying moderately, according to the information collected collected through the instrument; reason for which it became necessary to make recommendations and propose guidelines aimed at improving the different dimensions and indicators proposed in the investigation
