Abstract

This research refers to the use of virtual tools for formative research work in university students, the relationship between the so-called digital natives (students born with digital tendencies) and digital migrants (teachers) who have been developing digital skills in their actions As a teacher, the present work sought to identify processes for digital advice and interaction on formative research in the process of graduating students from tourism and social communication careers at the Technical University of Babahoyo Extension Quevedo. Under a population of 85 students and with an exploratory and qualitative research approach, it consisted of three stages: a review of the literature oriented on the use of Web 2.0 as a tool to support research processes and the use of the institutional platform SAI, the second was an online survey applied to graduate university students to find out their opinions on the incorporation and use of digital platforms in the academic day, and finally the pilot proposal in the creation of the SAI Platform to guide a group of students to carry out their final degree work projects.
