METHODOLOGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETITION OF THE STUDENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

RESUMEN

Constituye la formación de la competencia comunicativa de los estudiantes universitarios el eslabón esencial para garantizar materializar el encargo social de estas instituciones educativas. El trabajo que se presenta surge ante la necesidad de resolver las insuficiencias que evidencian los estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Mecánica del Instituto Superior Minero Metalúrgico de Moa en su desempeño profesional relacionada con la competencia comunicativa profesional, lo cual limita el cumplimiento de los objetivos del modelo del profesional. Como vía de solución a esta problemática se propone una metodología la cual se considera necesaria para el tratamiento a la comunicación educativa mediante el proceso de formación del ingeniero mecánico en el contexto laboral. Los resultados se sustentan en el enfoque histórico - cultural, las regularidades y criterios que caracterizan al proceso de formación profesional de ingenieros en la educación superior cubana y en las concepciones teóricas relacionadas con la formación basada en competencias profesionales en los contexto universitarios. La experiencia en el trabajo con la metodología ha permitido comprobar su factibilidad en el mejoramiento del desempeño profesional de los estudiantes de ingeniería mecánica, relacionado con la formación de la competencia comunicativa profesional.

ABSTRACT

The training of the communicative competence of university students is the essential link in order to guarantee the social mission of these educational institutions. The work presented arises from the need to solve the shortcomings evidenced by the students of the Mechanical Engineering degree at the Higher Metallurgical Institute of Moa in their professional performance related to professional communicative competence, which limits the fulfillment of the objectives of the model of the professional. As a way to solve this problem, a methodology is proposed which is considered necessary for the treatment of educational communication through the training process of the mechanical engineer in the work context. The results are based on the historical - cultural approach, the regularities and criteria that characterize the process of professional training of engineers in Cuban Higher Education and the theoretical conceptions related to training based on professional competences in the university context. The experience resulted from the methodology has allowed to verify its feasibility in the improvement of the professional performance of the students of mechanical engineering, related to the training of the professional communicative competence.
