Abstract

This article aims to determine the way in which alternative feeding can be a profitable process for farmers, with the primary objective of establishing the effect that urea has on crop residues, through the process of ammonification for different periods of time and Hermetic preservation of the product already prepared, which allows to know the nutritional percentages on these residues and specify their nutritional benefit in ruminants, estimating indicator parameters such as digestibility, the level of protein and fiber contributed to crop residues, as well as their intake, It can be concluded that this procedure provides a higher crude protein content by reducing the obtaining of neutral detergent fiber and detergent acid fiber which facilitates the digestibility of the product.
