Vivienda progresiva y sismorresistente para Zona Urbano – Residencial en Anconcito, Ecuador

Abstract

The insufficient knowledge of features of a given place, is the root cause for the execution of unsustainable projects in the mid and long term in Anconcito, Peninsula de Santa Elena, Ecuador. Given the vulnerability to seismic events of the houses in this location, it is necessary to make a proposal of a house prototype that meets safety requirements towards seismic events, without eliminating the sense of belonging to the local culture. This does not imply that new spaces cannot be added to the house as the family grows. As a result of this Project it is shown a progressive house design wich includes attributes from ancient culture housing. This prototype is to be submitted to a seismic resistance assessment under the 2016 version of the ETABS program, and in fulfilment of the Ecuadorian Norm for Construction NEC-2015.
