ANÁLISIS DE LAS 500 MEJORES EMPRESAS DE ECUADOR EN 2023: TENDENCIAS Y PERSPECTIVAS.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the 500 best companies in Ecuador in 2023, based on criteria of financial performance, innovation, sustainability and contribution to the country's economic development. Emerging trends in the Ecuadorian business environment are examined and the implications for the future of the country's private sector are discussed.

The document presents a summary table showing the main companies according to sectors, highlighting that the oil sector is the one with the highest volume of income during 2023, and justifying the generation of direct and indirect employment, as well as briefly indicating how many jobs will be lost with the closure of the ITT block.

In addition, the banana industry is presented as a very strong sector of income and job generator, important for our province of Los Ríos, because it is currently the first producer of bananas in Ecuador, the country's star product in terms of exports to different destinations around the world.

The work developed aims to present a preliminary study that will allow a more in-depth investigation into the income of public and private companies, to obtain concrete results of all types of companies and especially to analyze why within the Ranking of the 500 companies there are no organizations from the province of Los Ríos
