Desarrollo Sostenible del Agro-Turismo en comunidades rurales de carácter agrícola

Abstract

This article is the result of the doctoral thesis: “Community administrative Management and its incidence in the sustainable development of Agro-tourism in agricultural rural communities of Los Ríos, Ecuador 2012-2015”, and it is done because of agro-tourism is an activity with high economical potential in the country, so it is required to achieve a level of development that allows its sustainability. The complexity of this issue is mainly because it is executed by agricultural communities, where members do not have enough economical resources, knowledge, and technical support that are needed for reach the general goal. This article makes a bibliographical analysis about sustainable development and agro-tourism, also generating a linkage between both subjects, obtaining conclusions about the real potential of this activity for communities’ development. To develop this article it was executed the bibliographical and analytic – synthetic investigation method.
